When developing my Scotch Journal and Whisky Tasting Journal, I consumed quite a bit of “research” Whisk(e)y in the process. Working on my Scottish map took me further down the rabbit hole. In my right hand I always had one glass: the Glencairn Whisky Glass, and I decided to offer it as part of a tasting set that includes:
My favorite Whisk(e)y glass
The glass in this set was specially designed by a Glaswegian family-run company for tasting Scotch whisky. The design has received rave reviews from some of the biggest names in the whisky world, including Michael Jackson* and Her Majesty the Queen (RIP).** But I can tell you from personal experience that it works exceptionally well for whisky too. Bourbon, rye, sour mash... yes, even Canadian whisky tastes pretty good in here.
The shape of the glass is pleasing to the eye, but I find that there is just the right amount of it to give a good taste, and it feels great in the hand. I am no physicist, but to me the tapered top seems to collect and concentrate the aroma, similar to the way a wine glass does. The glass is made in Germany at a reputable lead-free crystal factory.

The kit you receive includes three of my popular tasting journals: 33 Drams of Scotch, 33 Bottles of Bourbon, and 33 Glasses of Whiskey (which works great for rye, Canadian, and anything else). Each journal has space for 33 different whiskies, giving you a total of 99 whisky tasting experiences.

I hate wrapping gifts and believe that products look their best without wrapping paper. That’s why I designed the box with whisk barrel inspired graphics on both the outside and inside of the box to make a great impression. When you first open the box, some tips on how to whisk to the best taste are also included, making this a great gift for new whiskers too.

** I assume she handpicked the recipients of the Queen's Award of Innovation. After all, it has her name on it!
