For whom, when, and why

Gordon is one of the great clans from Aberdeenshire; the 'dress' variant of their tartan traditionally contains more white than the regular clan tartan and was intended for more formal occasions. This 'Antique' colorway displays the pattern in muted, aged tones. This plaid has fringes; if you are looking for the same tartan with a straight, finished edge, then take a look at the Plaid without fringes Tartan Antique Dress Gordon.

Care & washing instructions

Wool is a natural product and largely cleans itself: the fiber structure releases dirt and odors on its own. Therefore, wash as little as possible — a breath of fresh air often works wonders. A stain? Gently dab with cold water. If a wash is necessary, choose a wool wash program at a low temperature with special wool detergent (no regular detergent, as it damages the fibers). Do not tumble dry — lay flat to dry and gently reshape.
